Hi, I’m Dani.

I’m a Video Editor based out of Michigan and New York.

I’ve worked in post production in multiple capacities over the past 8 years. I cut my teeth in the documentary series world on the Netflix + Vox series, explained, and received (what showrunner Claire Gordon noted in a bathroom run-in) the fastest promotion in the show's history – jumping to Lead Assistant Editor after two weeks on staff. I later went on to build and contribute to 20+ episodes as Junior Editor on Season 3, and completed my run with the series as an Editor.

My career has allowed me to explore deserving subject matter, including: the rights and experiences of women and marginalized communities, the significance of flags and the history of nationalism, potential roads to the end of oil dependency, and improved education access for girls across the globe.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed building sharp, resonant story worlds through archival, 16mm film, and animation, and have an - I’ll say it - obsessive interest in music, pacing, and sound design.

I’m available for editing, junior editing, and assistant editing.

I’m always interested in connecting with filmmakers, and would love to hear about your project.
